about.

They said Northampton Community College couldn't create, couldn't sustain, and couldn't support a literary and arts magazine. But in the spring of 2010, the first issue of The Laconic was published, and it has continued to be published every year since.

Showcasing the best stories, poems, drawings, paintings, and more from current and former NCC students, as well as faculty and staff, The Laconic offers an impressive cross-section of NCC's artistic talents.

The Laconic is published inhouse thanks to the dedicated work of NCC's Central Duplication staff, and copies are offered for free on campus.

The staff of The Laconic also takes great pride in its fundraising efforts, which are put to use sponsoring NCC students to attend writers conferences, author readings, and more.

The magazine features a staff of current students and faculty advisors Michael Pogach and Abigail Michelini.
